Long, wet run

I rounded off my week with a 16.2 mile run home from work yesterday. The first two miles were in the dry, the following 14 in the rain! Will it ever stop? I managed a fairly consistent 7.30min/mile pace all the way and felt reasonably comfortable throughout. Knackered today though!

Will be having a rest over the weekend and probably run again on Monday & Tuesday.

Hi Bob, Im Geri Savage from NI and Im in Cheltenham for a wedding next week and I need a 20 miler (or so... depending on how much fun i have at the wedding) on the Sat. Im training for the Dublin marathon and as I am working through an achilles injury I need a fairly flat road run. Can you recommend any routes? Even a decent short one that i can loop a few times to make up to 20(ish)? Pref with a loo stop / some where to top up water! Any help appreciated! I got a 11.7mile route off one of the running route websites, takes in Tewkesbury Road, crosses the motorway, Stoke Road, Cheltenham Road / Eversham Road andback towards Tewksbury Road again. Any idea if this is really busy with traffic, or hilly? Many thanks! You can get me on akasha_savage@hotmail.com
